Why a road trip?

So what do you do with a 5 day work furlough, family you haven't seen in over 5 years, 2,200 miles of open road, 37 hours of time to use as you wish and a father & son who are crazy enough to tackle it all . . . ROAD TRIP!

Many people wouldn't leave the comfort of their home to sit in a Nissan Altima for 37 hours with their 11 year old son . . . but than again, many people aren't as crazy as me!  My sister told me to fly, my wife told me to fly, strangers told me to fly but I said . . . ROAD TRIP!
